Started by Daniel Weinberg in 1973, the Daniel Weinberg Gallery played a formative role in bringing artists of the conceptual movement to prominence. The Gallery provided a platform to highlight both important artists and emerging talent. Daniel Weinberg was known for his impeccable eye and for always putting artists first.

The Daniel Weinberg Gallery’s first three shows were with David Novros, Dorothea Rockburne, and Richard Tuttle. Over the next 40 years, the Gallery went on to host solo exhibitions with Richard Artschwager, Jo Baer, Bernd and Hilla Becher, James Bishop, Lee Bontecou, John Chamberlain, Dan Flavin, Robert Gober, Donald Judd, Jeff Koons, Sol LeWitt, Robert Mangold, Brice Marden, John McLaughlin, Bruce Nauman, Richard Prince, Robert Ryman, Richard Serra, John Wesley, Christopher Wool, and many others.
